The older I get the more I embrace change and realize the value of living in the moment. The present moment is all we’ve got... we aren’t even promised the moment after that. I used to waste so many precious moments living in fear and worry about anything and everything I couldn’t control or figure out. It’s so freeing to finally appreciate I have this moment in my present space to fully enjoy...to breathe in life and appreciate what I have and what I’ve been given. You may believe in power of prayer, healing of meditation or mindfulness of being self-aware. Whichever path you chose to follow, fundamental concepts are similar: know self, acknowledge present moment, be grateful for today, thankful for all you have, forgive, let go & accept what you cannot change. Many of us remain chronically discontent. We take our privileges for granted to suffer persistent dissatisfactions. No matter how far we reach or how much we accomplish, we cannot attain peace of mind to enjoy our progress. We know but often forget simple principles for life satisfaction: Appreciate who you are & be grateful for all you have. Count your blessings, not absence of what you think you need/want. Love this moment. Embrace the now. Chances are that if you can't find reasons to be happy today, you won’t be happy tomorrow no matter what happens in your life. Live today. Don’t reminisce the past, do not fixate on the future. Now is when you can do what you want to do. Today is not too late & tomorrow may not be possible. Don’t compare you, your life to others. You are unique & so is your way in life. Concentrate of yourself & your journey to happiness. Be as independent as possible emotionally, mentally, physically, financially. Rely on yourself. Be able to enjoy life alone. Face your fears, take your chances, ignore your insecurities, set aside your doubts. Change what you don’t like, make your decisions. You are the one responsible for your life, so decisions, right or wrong, must be yours. Leave your comfort zone. Challenge yourself, continue to grow. Forgive & let go of anger. Don’t hold grudges. Be kind, considerate, compassionate towards others. Accept that you are not in control of everything happening around you. Surrender to element of unknown. Stay active. Whether sport or gym or long walk, don’t stay sedentary. Fit any physical activity into your routine, anything you like. Life is not ideal, people are not flawless, problems will continue to arise. Happiness is illusive. It is a choice, mental flexibility, adaptability, state of mind. It is not prerogative, it doesn’t strike all of a sudden. Happiness begins where you are right now.

Today I painted this piece, it took me a few hours to achieve. It portrays a person stood feeling constantly judged, watched and is paranoid of what others think of them. First I sketched the eyes and head shape then experimented using water colours (first time using the watercolours ) trying to get different skin tones and iris colours then I got black paint and painted the silhouette then used a pen for the eyelashes. *PS~ sorry for the white dot in the middle of the silhouette it needs to be filled in.* #art #paranoid #paint #patience #creative #appreciatewhatyouhave #suicideprevention #staysafe

I know some of us have to work, start planning to resume school next week(not ready at all ), clean the house and probably going to the gym might be or not be part of the plan. Life doesn’t get any better ehh😩😂. : : Anywayssss I want y’all to remember to keep pushing, of course there are days when we don’t want to do some certain things and we are just over it. If you want to talk to someone go for it, and clear your mind. Sometimes all we need is a clear headset or mindset of where we want to go and how we want to work towards it. After all we are all human beings and we are all just trying to survive out here. #Repost @couch2gym • • • • • For the last 2 weeks I’ve been stuck in a maintain with my weight loss. This has been so frustrating for me, I started to doubt myself. Tomorrow I will weigh again, fingers crossed 🤞 for a loss as I’ve pushed hard this week, pushing to failure on my sets, making sure my tracking of food has been spot on and doing extra cardio. BUT!! Even if my weight stays the same I need to remember how far I have come already and not give up. This is a comparison between the 2nd week of EVER doing any type of weight training/exercise and last weeks stats....the difference speaks for itself. Hard work, consistency, and fighting through those hard days has already changed me sooooo much. Good morning and happy Saturday everyone. I wanted to take a moment to let you all know I appreciate you all! It's been a rough few months. First my two surgeries and now my daughter's accident. .... I'm recovered from my surgeries and still plan on delving deeper into why I chose to go with replacing my implants. It was a very difficult decision and I didn't make it lightly. I struggled and prayed and I know I made the right choice for me, for now. .... For those of you that don't know, on February 6th, my middle daughter was skiing. It was rainy and icy. She hit a patch of ice, lost control and hit a light pole. She broke her femur. .... She was transported by ambulance to @ecmcbuffalo . She was in surgery within 3 hours. .... The hospital was great. The care she received was fantastic. The surgeon was awesome! I can't say enough about the treatment she received. .... However, the best care she got came from family. My cousin stayed with her after the accident. She talked to her, had my daughter's head in her lap and calmed her. Her compassion and love mean the world to me. She is an absolutely remarkable young lady. I would love to call her out here but without her permission I won't. .... Her mom, my aunt, is another one that I honestly can't even begin to show my gratitude or love for. She was a rock. She handled everything and even rode with her in the ambulance. She didn't have to. She chose to and i will be forever grateful for that. .... We have a long road. She can't even go to the bathroom by herself. She is walking with a walker but she's non weight bearing still. We are thankful and blessed that it's only her femur. We're blessed with the most amazing family. .... I'm truly grateful beyond words at the outpouring of love and support we've received. God has truly blessed us. .... Things to do that will help our emotional well being. 👌💕 💗 positive self talk and the way we speak to ourselves is so important. To help our children we have affirmation cards for all ages to help with this. 🙏 keep reminding yourself things don’t happen overnight and we are all growing all the time. 💥 Do something everyday to help you get closer to your goals and dreams. Only you can do this 🏃🏻‍♀️ Exercise no matter how small is great for our mental health and our wellbeing. Even if it’s a 5/10 min walk in the fresh air. 😴 Sleep and rest is so important this can have a dramatic effect on our moods, health, mental health, lack of can give higher anxiety, the way we are towards others, and our digestive system 👩‍👩‍👧 spending time with loved ones are people that make you feel good helps release your happy endorphins so great for your mental wellbeing 🍏🥦 Eating a balanced diet helps massively on how we feel in ourselves which then helps our mental health 🗣 Remeber talking helps always try to talk to someone about how you are. children can also find this difficult our journals can really help this. 😻 Do things that make you happy as this makes you feel good inside ☕️ self care is so important I think one of the top things we need to do as we can’t give the best of our ability to people around us, work, etc if our cup is half empty or even running on empty. You need to keep topping your own cup up. 🧠 always keep learning this keeps the brain and mind active and also when you learn something new it makes you feel good. 😍 Acts of kindness are one of my fav things to do and Isaac loves too. Making others feel good makes you feel good too. You never know who’s day your making better. Even a smile at a stranger. You could be helping someone’s emotional well being.

It’s very rare i caption a black & white photo of myself but today is one of those days!!!!
