Got to ride back home in First Class. It was totally worth it for a 12 hour flight! The food was exquisite, the Flight Attendants were so nice, and the comforters were very comfortable. I would highly recommend flying with Turkish Airlines. I’m very thankful for my job where I can fly with other airlines. It was an experience I’ll never forget.
Story Time! It’s funny too! So Rolando booked a cultural show for us to check out! He hyped up the show so much and said there would be belly dancing and fire and so much more. We’re at the show and everyone is seated around the mini stage. It’s dark and then a bunch of men walk in dressed in what you see in the picture. They start walking in their positions and then start spinning. Ok... I’m like I’m sure this is just the beginning, it will get better. One hour passes and all we witnessed was these men spinning in circles. lol what I learned after the show is this was a cultural dance where these men go through training to dance in circles and it signifies themselves giving their life to GOD. It was funny after the show because it was not what I was expecting, at all! But hey I learned something.
TURKISH BATH • • • THIS! What an experience, I must say! Turkish baths are a must to experience in Turkey. The idea sounded cool but when we actually booked our activity, I was like what am I doing? I’m paying someone to bathe me lol but it’s an experience... The rooms are separated with males and females and the same sex person bathes you. They scrub your body vigorously to get all the dead skin off and then they show it to you. Lol There’s more to it but we got the bubble bath package and massage; and they wash your hair too! The room is made of marble so it’s beautiful and relaxing. You’re also not alone, many other people are being bathed in the same room as you! This was definitely out of my comfort zone but I’m so glad Rolando pushed me to try this. Would you ever try a Turkish bath?
One of the things I really wanted to experience in Istanbul was a traditional Turkish breakfast. When we were looking for a place to eat we started to look online and weren’t finding many breakfast spots so we decided to walk around and see what we could find ourselves. It was a great idea because we found this restaurant within minutes and it had everything I could have imagined for a traditional Turkish breakfast. It was a delight!
We couldn’t leave Istanbul without checking out a Bosphorus Cruise Tour. I didn’t take too many pictures because I really wanted to be in the moment. There’s different types of tours offered- we picked the evening tour near sunset and it was perfect! It was a relaxing ride after walking all day, just enjoying the views and taking it all in with my Bebecito. 💕
